wrap-up

june wrap-up

hey guys! can you believe half of 2016 is over? a lot has happened up until now, both good and bad, but i’m hoping things with head uphill from here on out.

during june, i read 11 books, which is okay. i was hoping i could get through more, especially since summer’s started, but a few books slowed me down.

the raven king (4/5)

me before you (4.5/5)

the siren (4.5/5)

open road summer (4/5)

half bad (4/5)

half wild (4/5)

half lost (4/5)

-not pictured, wasn’t finished at the time this picture was taken.

my favorite book this month was definitely me before you, but i also really enjoyed stars above, the siren, and hotel on the corner of bitter and sweet. i’m hoping to have reviews for everything up soon, but i’m not sure how long it’ll all take. i’m still trying to catch up with reviews for books i read two months ago, but i’ll definitely work on them during july.

i also started writing consistently again in june. most of you don’t know this, but i’m working on my own novel, which i’m trying to finish by the end of this year. i’m really close to finishing the rough draft, so i’m pretty excited!

finally, here’s my july tbr, although i’m not sure how many of these i’ll be able to get through.

i’ve already started red rising, and i’ll hopefully start on golden son after that (depending on whether or not i enjoy red rising). i do have a few assigned books (their eyes were watching god + mindset) that aren’t pictured, so those are next up on the list. then, i’m planning to start where’d you go, bernadette; the last boy and girl in the world; vanishing girls; a great a terrible beauty; the kite runner; a farewell to arms; and finally, the fellowship of the ring.

unfortunately, i’ll be gone for a summer program/camp for three weeks, so i’m not sure if i’ll have much time to read. even so, i really want to make some progress on my tbr, as well as finish up the rough draft of my novel.

what are your goals for this month?
